Residential Pool Safety

Each year over 2,500 youths are admitted into hospital emergency rooms for near-drowning incidents and accidents.  Almost half of these incidents result in need for hospitalization and over 300 cases result in death.  The majority of near-drowning incidents occur in residential pools.  Because drowning can occur in just seconds and without noise or sign of a struggle, active adult supervision is critical.  As you know, drownings are silent and only take seconds.  Below you will find several documents that will provide information to assist you in keeping your residential pool area safe.
